0.1.44Slides that look great, and answers from your files
Before this update, no engine could put a slide deck in the chat at all. After it, you pick a look, watch the slides build and save them as PowerPoint.
A deck on the causes of World War I, ready to save as PowerPoint (shown in 0.1.48).
Study guides, flashcards, quizzes and decks each got their own card (shown in 0.1.48).
What's new
- Real slide decks. Ask for a presentation and choose: build the slides, or answer in the chat. Pick one of six colour looks and save as PowerPoint. The preview and the saved file match.
- Answers from long files. Ask about something inside a long PDF and GreenCube finds the right passage.
- Edit what you sent. The pencil under your message lets you change it and send it again.
- Works on more laptops. PCs with little free memory now load the engine instead of refusing.
What we fixed
Every deck came back as a text outline
The shape GreenCube uses to hold cards had no room for slides, so no engine could put a deck in the chat. E2B answered every deck request with "here is an outline, copy it into PowerPoint".
Decks made (E2B): 0 of 5 → 8 of 8.
"The document doesn't mention…" things it did mention
Questions about a long document went through three passes over general notes, and small facts got lost on the way. Now GreenCube finds the passages that hold your question's rarest words and answers in one pass.
12 questions on 3 long documents (E2B): 5 right in 78 seconds → 11 right in 15 seconds.
"Can you make PowerPoint slides?" "I cannot."
Five of seven plain questions about what GreenCube can do got the wrong answer, although it makes both PowerPoint and Word files. The app now answers those questions itself.
"Make me a ppt on China" changed the volcano deck
The new request was treated as a change to the last deck, and the China deck was lost. A new deck is now always a new deck.
Tried and left out
- Sending every short fact question to the web. It was worse and four times slower (13 of 16 right in 8 seconds → 11 of 16 in 33 seconds), so it never shipped.
