0.1.41Pictures, and a faster GreenCube
GreenCube learned to make pictures, on your own computer. And a lot of everyday questions stopped going to the web for no reason.
What's new
- Images, a new tab. Describe a picture and GreenCube draws it on your computer. Everything you make is kept in its Library.
- A quicker everyday engine for smaller PCs (Gemma 4 E2B), better use of graphics cards, and much longer conversations.
- A coding engine, Mellum 2, and a "Your computer" page in Settings that shows what this PC can do, measured on it.
- Paste a picture straight into the message box, and Microsoft sign-in works.
What we fixed
"I don't trust my boyfriend" was answered by the coding assistant
We found it on a friend's PC: the app spotted "rust" (a programming language) inside "trust", "scala" inside "escalate" and "swift" inside "swiftly". And "How are u doiung today" came back with a research paper from 1990, because "doiung" contains "doi", a research-paper code. Words now only match as whole words.
Almost every question went to the web
With Online on, any question starting with who, what, how or why plus three more words searched the web. That is most of human conversation. "How do I cook rice?" cost 30–70 seconds and came back worse than what the engine already knew. Now Online starts off, and everyday questions are answered straight away.
Paying customers were told they hadn't paid
Any hiccup reaching the licence server, like a Wi-Fi drop, was read as "not paid". Now there are three answers: paid, not paid, and "couldn't check". "Couldn't check" never overwrites a licence you have.
One failed photo broke every chat
A failed photo read left the image reader stuck on a friend's graphics card, and every message after it failed with "not enough memory". A failed read now gives the memory back at once.
Your own AI, on your own PC
Every update reaches you inside the app: a message appears, you click once, and it installs. GreenCube is €9.99 (US$9.99), paid once.
